Proverbs 31:10- Character and Rubies

PROVERBS 31:10....Character and Rubies

I dont know about you, but somedays I look at Proverbs 31
and think ok, ya thats gonna be a No Go today. Ha ha ha!
I mean lets be real here, some days I am just NOT motivated.

A wife of Noble Character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

Well I dont know about rubies, because I LOVE diamonds.
But rubies are pretty. Ok we will go with being pretty.
However I am sure thats not quite what they meant.
And character....hmm.
Lets dig deeper into this.
There are many ways to describe your character.
Character is not about what you have but about how you are using what you have.
Courage,
 honesty,
 integrity,
honor,
 respect,
kindness
 and patience.
Each of these things strengthen you.
But you will not just have them fully refined when you are born.
These things come with experience, with age, and over a life time. From the oldest person to the youngest person everyone is continuously working on these things.
Pray for God to help you with one you struggle with. And He will give you so many things to work through that by the time your done you will have learned much and grown in ways you never thought possible.
Its like praying for patience, then getting on the freeway of life and expecting to go 90MPH and traffic is only going 45MPH. Talk about learning patience. And once you think ok I have patience figured out...BAM you get hit with something else that teaches you a deeper level of it.
You have a bit of all of these things figured out, but there are deeper lessons you must learn.
There are lessons that take your breath away, there are lessons that are fun(tho not many), and there are lessons that you ask why?
But regardless of how you learn that lesson and get another area of your character figured out, there is ALWAYS more to learn.
But aside from the learning, there are also the moment where you are strong in something and weak in another, but God uses both your strengths and weaknesses to grow you.
If God only used the things we were strong in at the time to grow us, would we grow? Not much.
So your character is something that is constantly growing. And being refined, which is why it is compared to the worth of rubies.
Rubies are rare(real ones that is) and so they are worth more.
Your character may be similar to another person, but you will never be the same as another person. So that makes you one of a kind.
And therefore worth more.

So Ladies, The encouragement for today is.....
That character trait you are working on, grab Gods hand and tell Him lead me, guide me, show me what you want me to learn.
Then, Ladies, Go learn. You have nothing to lose with God guiding you. And I know your husband, children, family and friends will learn a bit with you.
And who knows along with that learning you can share the lesson you have learned with another person. And in turn Bless them!

Have a Blessed day ya'll!
See you next week for another encouraging moment from Gods word.
